LMDP Module 1: Basic Christian Concepts

This is the introductory module to the Leadership and Ministry Development Program (LMDP) of the Nehemiah Bible Institute (NBI). 

There are two categories of Basic Christian Concepts on which this module is focussing:

  1. The tasks and responsibilities of a Christian Religious Professional (church leader) and the purpose of the ministries in which these church leaders are involved.
  2. An overview of the Christian faith.

LMDP Module 2: Bible and Bible interpretation

The second module of the Leadership and Ministry Development Program (LMDP) of the Nehemiah Bible Institute (NBI) will be dealing with the Bible. In this module we will be working through the whole Bible, from Genesis to Revelation.

  1. We start our study of the Bible by looking at the inspiration and authority of the Bible. Then we give proper attention to what is needed in order to interpret the Bible correctly. 
  2. Building on that foundation we give an overview of each of the books of the Bible. Some background information is provided about each book. Eventually we move to the most important message (or messages) of each book. The focus is usually on the issues that are important for us today.

LMDP Module 3: Build the relationship with God

This is the third module of the Leadership and Ministry Development Program (LMDP) of the Nehemiah Bible Institute.

This learning program will focus on helping religious practitioners (church leaders) develop the skills for leading the church in building the relationship with God. There are two learning guides for this module and in each of these learning guides two topics will be discussed:

  1.  Grow through prayer and preaching;
  2.  Lead meaningful worship services.

LMDP Module 4: Nurture fellowship in the church

The fourth module of the Leadership and Ministry Development Program (LMDP) of the Nehemiah Bible Institute will focus on the church. There are two learning guides in this module.

LDMP 4/1: Build up the Body of Christ
      • Part 1: The story of the church.  
      • Part 2: Build up the Body of Christ.  
      • Part 3: The role of women in the church. 
LMDP 4/2: Organise effective ministries
      • Part 1: Develop a children’s ministry, 
      • Part 2: Train disciple-makers (dealing with the Youth Ministry and the ministry to vulnerable groups) 

LMDP Module 5: Develop pro-active and reactive life skills

This module (LMDP Module 5) is about developing pro-active and reactive life skills which will help us to experience holistic well-being. There are two learning guides in this module:

LMDP 5/1, Develop a Christian lifestyle 
      • Part 1: Build a happy marriage
      • Part 2: Build Christian families
      • Part 3: Christian Ethics - Develop skills for deciding about right and wrong
LMDP 5/2, Practice pastoral care and counselling 
      • Part 1: Practice pastoral care and counselling
      • Part 2: HIV and Aids - Light a candle of hope
